Vasyl Shkurakov studied at Kharkiv College of Finance and Economics and received his bachelor degree with the specialization “Economics and Business” in 2003.
In 2005, he graduated from the Ukrainian State University of Economics and Finance and received his master degree in finance. From 2005 until 2017, he worked in various positions at the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine. In June 2017 he stepped down voluntarily as the director of the Ministry’s department for debt policy.
From 2017 until December 2018 he worked as the deputy general director for economics and finance at the private joint-stock company “Ukrgidroenergo”.
On December 18, the Government appointed Vasyl Shkurakov as deputy Minister of Finance
